Not really sure what you mean byt the “tab” to be changed, so I can’t really help. What I do if I have to do something like that, if I don’t know what file has the text in question, is to use explorer and search for the words in the template files. Once I find them, I make the needed changes.
One thing you might want to do is to make a few sites locally on your computer and get used to Joomla and joomlart templates, play around a bit and see how it all works. Once you do, it is not that difficult. Have fun.
