how is it possible to create a directory in any joomlart theme, what I maen by that is say I need a page called news to appear in http://www.mysite.com/news so when visitors go to that url address and type mysite.com/news they will get the news page created….

Not sure if I explained it or not

    mmm Not sure I understand.

Could you not create an empty /news directory at mysite.com and then in the new /news directory, create a simple html page with an ‘automatic-redirect’ to the actual ‘news’ category in Joomla?

For instance, anyone then typing mysite.com/news
would be automatically taken to the correct Joomla section on your site, something like:
    http://www.joomla.questbg.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=5&Itemid=181

    Maybe that could work?

I rather for members to click on the for example http://www.joomla.questbg.com/news and get to the news page not to have a long name after it.

Thanks for the reply, I need a better way than re-directing members.

But I think, with a small ‘auto-redirect’ script in a folder /news, then your members would only have to type mysite.com/news, the script will do the rest and take them to the correct page on your site?

I agree though, it’s a bit of a messy workround!
