Create a Newsflash article in Joomla! 1.5

First of all, you enable Editor:

• Go to Admin Panel >> Site>> User Manager

• Choose Administrator

• Select default Editor (i.e. Editor – TinyMCE 2.0)

Then, follow steps below to create Newsflash module:

• Step 1: Go to Admin Panel >> Extension >> Modules Manager

• Step2: In Modules Manager, choose New button, to create new module

• Step 3: Choose Newsflash >> Next (or click on Newsflash name)

• Step 4: Configure parameters, remember to set position and category parameters. See example below:

• Step 5: Go to Content >> Article Manager, to create a Newsflash article

• Step 6: Choose Category (Newsflash)>> Click New button

• Step 7: Set parameters and edit content for the article as example below:

• Step 8: Adding image into the article. You can do following one of three options below:

Option 1: Choose Image icon from Editor
Input image path >> choose Insert button.
Notes: image is set default in left site. You choose Appearance tab to reset image

Option 2: Applicable if images are available in your site. Choose Image button on Editor screen
Locate the the image you expect, then click Insert button

Option 3: If images are not available in your site yet, you can upload image clicking Browse files button:

Choose image (you can choose one or multi images)
Click Start Upload to upload image file to your site store. You will see image in Insert Image dialog box
Choose image >> click Insert button

Finally, go to Frontpage, you will see the result
