Dear Joomlart,
We want to create a waterfall content block. We survey the JA Wall and JA Elastica which both are not quit suit to us because of the basic layout is quit different from we want, then we found the new Magz is quite good and we try to start from it.
After some work on waterfall layout search and modify, we found it’s not that easy to adapt waterfall content block into Magz theme without writing PHP codes.
I am a senior PHP engineer, if I want to do a waterfall layout, I would create a ajax service to return the articles and use jQuery masonry to form the output contents.
I need some professional advice from Joomlart, which is the best way to do under the T3 framework and also keep the theme still upgradable to get very nice support from Joomlart.
Thanks you guys create great theme that fits our needs.

August 6, 2014 at 4:50 pm #544852Can’t seem to find anything (as of this moment) online with regard to such an effect relative to Joomla . . . .
but I am forwarding this onto the JA Development Team for review and thought for possible future upgrade consideration. 🙂1 user says Thank You to TomC for this useful post

Sorry to jump in. I’m not JA support etc.
At first I thought you meant implementing masonry on T3 (JA Fixel does this for example) but do you mean the infinite scroller? To replace pagination?
There is a paid plugin that does it….. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/site-navigation/24577
Otherwise have a look through the code on various templates that use it – Wall , Lens, Argo, Fixel – the last 2 being T3 templates.
Hope that helps!?

August 7, 2014 at 1:41 am #544940I need infinite scroller! Thanks! I will try paid plugin also Argo, Fixel! Thank you again and again! 😉
Just tried Argo, really nice! right now I can’t find the way to adapt the infinite scroller to other theme we use (we use magz right now), so we may migrate to this theme, thanks!
August 7, 2014 at 10:30 am #545038The upper information is really helpful! I appreciate all words very much!
Still have a question:
How if I want the articles within component block have different heights like http://www.pinterest.com/ ?Adam M ModeratorAdam M

August 8, 2014 at 4:58 am #545150Hi,
Actually, you cannot specify the height of each block. If you take a look at Pinterest, you will see that some pins have higher featured image and some other pins have shorter description text, that’s the reason for differences in block height.

Just come to understand this after some modification. Here we try to adapt masonry on theme magz:
http://sjoomla3.abouthair.tw/magz/T3 is really a big framework! I should read all this before doing any modification:
http://t3-framework.org/documentation.html
Read all those documents before all things should save me few days from error and try. Thanks for your reply!
