    Hello,

I was offered a module designed for my requirements, BUT the person who made it does not know anything about Joomla. The module has been installed on a server to test it. It works fine.

However, I would like to be able to install this module on my Joomla site. The module does not have the joomla installation file. How do I make this possible, please?

Thank you for your tips on this.

    in your case:

    1) you upload file by file via using a FTP software
    2) or You use the Manifest Installation : http://www.clove.com/downloads/NotesManifest.html, you can write codes for moving, updating, deleting files while installing extension. Example: http://docs.joomla.org/API15:JInstallerModule/install#Examples

    Hi,
how does Joomla 1.6 recognize the module when you just upload it by FTP into the module folder ? It does not appear in the module list ? Would you be able to help me, for payment (of course) to move a component and module that I have on Joomla 1.5 to move to new domain on 1.6 ? I have backed up the files already per FTP, thank you:((

    Dear nollipap,

You could not just move components and modules from joomla 1.5 site to the new module with joomla 1.6,those extensions need to be compatible with joomla 1.6 and a joomla 1.5 extension will not run in the joomla 1.6.
