February 15, 2009 at 11:17 pm #138167Hello everyone;
I am using Joomla 1.5 >>Ja Teline ii latest version…and I am just learning how joomla works, I spend lot of time last few days reading the forum and the tutorial..
My system is installed localy (sorry no live site yet)
I am trying to create a NEW SECTION and replace what is on the Template. However, when I create New section under Section Manager, whatever I create is becaming part of the Navbar (top Manu).
But If I edit and remame it seems fine. Basicly, what I want is to create my own section/category within the same location I marked without editing or remaning it what comes with the template
See attached pic

February 15, 2009 at 11:51 pm #291649When you create a new section, it is automatically added to the menu via the JAZine plugin.
To turn this function off go to Extensions > Plugin Manager and disable the JAZine plugin.
Personally, when I first used the Teline II template, I just changed the section and category names to what I wanted then added my articles that way I was sure everything was set up right.

February 16, 2009 at 1:40 am #291663Very nice. Glad it worked out. I am curious what other problems were solved by turning of magazine menu? Might try it myself.

February 16, 2009 at 5:12 am #291695Hi CCVPGUY
Do you mean you want to remove the links on the section names (highlighted in red in your screen grab)?
If so, go to ‘Module Manager’ in Admin and select ‘JA News’ module from the list.
On the right hand side, under Module Parameters, set the ‘Show Title’ to ‘Hide’ here:
