September 15, 2011 at 5:22 am #412772May I ask Joomlart if there is any difference between template.css (Joomla 1.5) and template.css (Joomla1.7). I have modified my current template.css (Joomla 1.5) a lot and would like to continue with this if I migrate to Joomla 1.7.
Hi JooServics: Thankyou for your offer. I will contact you through PM shortly.

September 15, 2011 at 5:30 am #412774what i would recommend is you use a program like windiff or winmerge and have them do a “compare” between them. The beauty of this is not only do u get to see line by line exactly what has changed, you can merge the changes in if you choose to.

If you don’t mind i can try to do that to help you
ps:// You need to check Sobi2 / Easy Blog do they ready support 1.7 ? I’ve no idea about these.
About Kunena , they are already 🙂
Thank you
Viet Vu</blockquote>I have read that for migration to Joomla 1.7 , Mootools should be working. However, in my case it is not working. If you remember I have raised this on thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-telline-iii-v2-mootools-upgrade-plugin-making-problem/
I have not received any intimation fro Joomlart that whether this issue has been resolved or not. So perhaps this issue should be resolved as a first step.

September 15, 2011 at 9:43 am #412825I have made a sub-domain of my site as test site, and now working on this. On this test site, I had upgraded Joomla 1.5.22 to 1.5.23.
With Joomla 1.5.22, if Mootools upgrade plugin enabled then it disturbed the whole template if we browse in IE7 (it was working fine in FireFox). Now, after upgrade to Joomla 1.5.23, this problem has gone and it is working in IE7 with Mootools upgrade. What does this mean, I donot know, perhaps you experts may conclude something. ??
PS: Regarding other components on my site, I am aware of their availability for Joomla 1.7.

September 15, 2011 at 10:15 pm #412950Thats one of the main reasons for keeping your software current. Many “bugs” are fixed along the way. You can watch the Joomla bug tracker if you want to keep on top of whats changing but changes are made to joomla and our software on a daily basis as bugs come in and get fixed.

September 17, 2011 at 2:00 am #413179if 1.5 is doing all that you need and you realize its nearing its end of life VERY soon, then stick with it for now, but they longer you wait the harder the transition might be.
