    Hi,

    I am trying to eliminate (or disable or delete whatever you can call it) some of the too many categories and their sub-categories on my front page, as seen on the image attached.

    How can I do that?

    regards,
    Indrit

    Go to you module manager
    Look for the 3 modules with type “mod_janewspro”

    Under each one, choose the categories you want on the right side

    You can select or deselect categories by pressing and holding ‘ctrl’ when you click

    Hi, you can fix it following way below:
    Open style.css file in templates/ja_teline_iv/html/mod_janewspro/default/ folder, find following code section :

    .default .ja-zin .items-row {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    }

    change to :

    .default .ja-zin .items-row {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    float: left;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    }

    hope can help you.

    Hi,

    I did the changes and see for your self what happen. http://www.albohio.com/main

    This is a whole other problem/issue. I am wonderin what happened after disabling some of the categories?

    Now I have categories sorting two by two.

    One thing that bothers me with JA Teline IV is that after installation if I try to change something to suite my needs I go thru a lot of trouble, and to think about it I am not new to joomla I am just new to Joomlart.

    Please help!

    regards,
    indrit

    Hi,

    I have checked using my own version of Teline IV and was not able to replicate your problem. Might be that you accidentally changed some settings in the module?

    Could you provide screenshot of the module settings? or just provide a temp login (via pm) to your site admin for someone to check.

    Hi indrit.
    I checked and detected that seems you set for “Columns” param in ja newspro to “2” so it causes that problem , please try to recheck it following way below :
    Go to backend >> module manager >> select JA News pro in ja-news-1 position, on right panel you to go Display Settings tab, on this tab you see Columns params and make sure that value of it is “1” not “2”.
    Hope can help you.

    OKay here I am again,

    I installed another test site http://www.albohio.com/index and I still have the same problem.

    FYI: I have not changed anything on the module.

    PLEASE HELP IS NEED IT. I am about to give up in all joomlart templates. I have never experienced such silly issues before. There must be something that can be done.

    regards,
    Indrit

    Hi indrit,
    Please check it now, it is ok now, i cheked and seems it is a problem with profile selection in Ja News pro, if we choose “default” it will be ok, but if select “telineiv” like you selected before it can’t get columns setting. i will report this problem to developer team. Now in your site i select “default” for profile selection and it is ok.
    Hope can help you.

    Hi Hainn84

    I checked the site and it is not as it looks on the demo, or as it looked when I installed it from quick install format. Please see the DEMO version of JA Teline IV and my actual status of the site I have installed. Do they look the same.

    On my site the sub-categories are one-under-another within the same category, On the DEMO site, sub-categories are in the same row, not one-under-another.

    There must be some thing that can cause the problem. Once again I did not changed anything but appoint categories and their subs to the front page

    Please advise
    Indrit

    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    margin: 0;

    }

    change to :

    .default .ja-zin .items-row {
