May 13, 2011 at 10:44 pm #163982Hi
I wonder can you help or do you have a guide on how to edit the ja droid logo.png file.
I opened it in photoshop but there are many many layers used for two lines of text, two lines and the graphic.
As a result I’m a little confused as to which layer to change and how to change them.
All I want to do is change the JA DROID text and the July10 template Google font text. Thanks in advance

May 14, 2011 at 6:35 am #391166If you are checking the ja_cyan.psd or other psd’s
The Layers will be arranged with respective to the folders.
In the Layers click on the “top” folder > “logo” folder > There scroll and search for “Layer 132 copy” && “Layer 132 copy 2”
in this layer the text of JDroid is present.
For July10 template Google font text:
In the Layers click on the “top” folder > “logo” folder > There scroll and search for “July 10 Template with Google Font ” && ” July 10 Template with Google Font”
These are different layer with same label.
Note: This will be same in all colors of the PSD

May 23, 2011 at 7:50 pm #392515There is a lot more to the way this element has been designed. Do you actually have the font installed for instance? Do you have the little warning triangle in the box for the layer?
It does appear that the actual text layer for this element is missing and just the effect layers are still in place though I am no photoshop expert so I cannot be sure.

May 23, 2011 at 8:02 pm #392519Hi
No. Dont have the font, but that wouldnt be an issue, if it was editable, then i could simply replace fonts.
The issue i mentioned and you have echoed is that the text for ja droid is most likely uneditable on this psd as far as I can discern.
Hoping the Joomlart designer can take a look at this problem and come up with a solution soon though
🙂
thanks guysPhill ModeratorPhill

May 23, 2011 at 8:04 pm #392521Why not add your own text? Surely you do not want the text that we already have there?

May 24, 2011 at 2:44 pm #392681That was the first thing I wanted to do and tried.
However I think the complexity of the original logo and all its layers are there for a reason and maybe connected to the background. I say this because if you create standard text and save it as logo.png, even though it looks perfect in photoshop, looks terrible on the site.
Is the graphic designer in the house?:) All i need to do is be able to change the text “JA DROID”
