Hi,

I need to edit the <title> tags on the home page of:
http://www.poolsandspasonline.com.au

At present when on the home page the title tag is set to “Home”.

I have tried going into the Parameters (System) for the Home Menu Item and changing it there, but it seems to have no effect.

I have tried using the Title Manager plugin from Joomla.

I have also tried editing the layouts (default.php, handheld.php, iphone.php, 3column-classic.php) and layouts/blocks/head.php.

Starting to pull my hair out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice looking site, congratulations!

Very strange, I just changed mine in the Parameters (System) on the Home menu using the Menu Manager and it worked fine.

Could it be the Title Manager plugin causing a conflict somewhere?

Do you use sh404SEF or any similar components?
Actually, changing Page Title under Parameters (System) of the menu item should do the trick.

Thanks Chris & Gray,

I installed the title manager plugin today out of desperation, but it has made no difference.

Yes I am using the sh404SEF and I just went in and set up thehome page meta options and voila! It works. So happy, thanks for you advice 🙂
