How do I enable position 4, position 5, position 6 below the main content area on JA-Biz? (or other positions in this location)?

I have lastviews, features-intro-2, and then sidebar-1… component… sidebar-2 followed by mashead positions.

We would like to use sidebar-1 and then these positions below the component area, as shown in your example which has the location map in sidebar-1 and then News, Help and Learning, and Customer Showcase blocks.

Does this take creating these positions in the php or is there a way to place them in the layouts tab of the template manager?

    Thanks!

Here is a reference which I think should be helpful to you . . . http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/wiki-ja-t3v2-joomla-2-5/developer-guide#Layouts

Actually that is more confusing than not… The documentation reference posted is to JA T3v2 and this is T3, actually 2.3.0 (which I see needs upgrade). The template interface I have doesn’t look the same with regard to working with those xml blocks (a prior template I worked with did have that). Though i suppose I could look at the files.

Yesterday I found a different posting that suggested that the “home” style of JA-Biz contained those positions whereas the “default” style did not. Which was not made particularly clear in the JA-Biz documentation.

So rather than by changing the xml, I added a few lines of php code to one–sidebar-left.php. That got the job done, but I’d rather do an override or other method to avoid having to re-apply these changes. Can anyone clarify how best to do that with T3?

    Thanks for your answer, though.

    Here’s the same info, but for T3 –> http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/bs3-layout-system

Thanks, that was helpful. I will make a clone. I have it working but want to make sure that it will not be overridden with the next update.

In that case, you’ll want to utilize the custom.css method –> http://www.t3-framework.org/documentation/customization.html#custom-css
