November 3, 2008 at 11:57 am #277901if you want to directly link to an article just use:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58You only have to change the id nummer on the end with the id nummer of the article. You’ll find the article id in your article overview

Hi Benitos,
I’m having the same problem but I have SEF URLs enabled on my site and I am struggling to find the URL of an article (note: all SEO settings are set to yes and working nicely). The article is a form confirmation thank you page so is “uncategorized”. Normally I would use the item id to find the article like you mentioned but I cannot for SEF URLs.
Category and section: “Uncategorized”
Menu: N/A (no menu assignment)
Page alias: “registration-complete.html”So I am trying “http://domain-name.com/registration-complete.html” which is logical but it’s not working.
I’d be grateful if you could lower my blood pressure with a bit of help on this >:(
Regards,

March 29, 2010 at 5:21 am #338174Hi Rob
Just do as above. Don’t worry about the URL of the article. Just look at the ID number in the article manager (the number in the very right hand column when you view the article list) and then use:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58
Where 58 is the ID number of the article you wish to link to. This works for me!
January 28, 2011 at 10:35 am #374211I understood why I could not find. It was not the content item, just a wrapper for a menu link on the page. So I had to change the menu to explore.
