I can understand not fixing it in IE6 as it is pretty much an obsolete browser. But IE7 is still widely used.
Surely there must be a way to fix the viewing issues in IE7. No-one has any other input?

May 31, 2009 at 10:37 pm #306342it is java script conflicts, it cannot be fixed. What happens is that as you add extensions to your site, they install their own js files. Sometimes the scripts and commands conflict with each other. This is not a JA issue that they can or should be expected to fix. You need to delete the extension that is causing the conflcit. I have had this happen many many times and i also am disappointed to find that one or more extensions i wanted to use conflicted. You could also try the customer support of the extension that is causing the conflict and see what they, say.

May 31, 2009 at 10:50 pm #306346Okaaay fair enough. 🙂
Thanks for the heads up about it being a conflict with an extension…I’ll have to go through each one until I figure out what it is.
One last question: If the extension is NOT enabled, but still intstalled into my files, is that enough? Or do I need to completely uninstall the extension that is causing the issues.
the only reason i ask is if disabling the extension is sufficient enough, it makes checking which extension is causing the problems much simpler.
Ultimately, once I find out what extension it is, I will uninstall it altogether.
Thanks!

May 31, 2009 at 11:17 pm #306347look in the head section of your template,. the paths to the js and mootools files are usually there, most relaible way to test is by deleting the most obvious extensions, one at a time. If you do not delete,t the conflicting files are still there.
