May 16, 2008 at 2:56 am #128591This is a total newbie question, but I did some searches and looked through about a dozen pages of posts, but couldn’t find the answer.
I created a new article with a picture, some intro text, read more break, and the rest of the text. It shows up on the frontpage perfectly with the picture reduced to a thumbnail, but I see NO into text…blank white area.
I saw one thing I did wrong: I didn’t set the picture to caption, but this didn’t fix the issue. 😉 I then compared the html of an article that is working perfectly on the home page, but didn’t see anything differently?!? I then cut and pasted the known good html from the working article into my newly created article and it worked. I am stumped. :-[

May 18, 2008 at 3:39 am #249579Would a screenshot help? (local install while I figure the template out, so don’t have a URL yet).
May 29, 2008 at 6:59 pm #251081I am encountering the same problem. None of my frontpage items have any introtext in them.
I am running Joomla 1.0 with the latest Teline version 1.2
May 29, 2008 at 7:18 pm #251083Try putting the image after the ‘read more’ horizontal rule in your page administration area. I found this to work well with larger images.

May 30, 2008 at 3:19 am #251124I’ve given up. I used the same graphics they used for the frontpage news items in their smaller form.
Between this and the color issues I had with the text logo and the menus (the logo will change to match the color of some menu items, but not others), I am giving up…more bugs found, but not worth the type.
I am giving up on this place already, though I never used one of their templates and just joined. Pretty weak. I am spoiled in my other template club, so going back home and will share with issues with the very first template I tried over here and the lack of response to many issues. I know I joined under the 30% off Mother’s Day deal, but I still feel ripped off. But I digress….
Good bye, guys. Can close this thread out as “solved.”

June 22, 2008 at 12:22 am #255228Wow I’m having this same exact problem. Are you using Joomla 1.5?

June 22, 2008 at 11:10 am #255270Try this…. install another editor like FCK editor, the free one from the joomla.org extensions. Then remove the READ MORE link that you already have in there and re-insert it. See if that works.

Nah, I give up on this buggy template. Thanks for the advice, though…moved on. 🙂
