Some will think this is a peculiar request. I’ll use Joomla! 1.5.3 and JA Teline II v1.2 as an ordinary blog, just for myself. I know, it’s an overkill, even though I’ll put on a lot of static pages around the blog content.
The template is perfect for my purpose – there just one small problem: As every posting should go as “today’s lead story”, and images are unessential most of the time, the frontpage is too magnificent for my purpose.
I would like to get rid of the image on the lead story.(top/left) – just have excerpt of the text, preferably with a small vignette (80x60px) beside the date on top. That way it would be a less pretentious frontpage for a modest blogger. (And I would, of course, frisk about with pictures in the posting, linked from the frontpage excerpt).
Could anybody instruct me on how to do this?
