If you are talking about Ja-News, you have to publish the articles you want in the rotating headlines to the front page. Do this by going to all content in the admin ciontrol pannel and click the little icon next to the article name to publish it to the front page. One of my tutorials in configure xenia II in my signature below deals with this.
