Hello everybody !

I have plan to design a free download software site.
Because i pay money to buy a server about 80GB to store softwares…so all software i will have a direct link…

But i want to hide or encrypt all that direct link…Only downloat at my site,,,,prevent to copy my direct link to publish other site….

    1. So i want to know, what’s modules or components, plugin…can hide or encrypt direct link…?
    (Include non-comercial and comercial)…

    2. How to force the user must login to read more detail…if not, they only see the intro text…

    Thank you very much !!!

That’s illegal and if is as it sounds and if anyone helps you they should get shot.

I wouldn’t help in the possibility that it is illegal.

In that case, use tinyurl to generate web addresses. I’m not sure if there’s a mod that automatically implements a tinyurl address.

    It works a treat though.

    Thanks you !
    But
http://tinyurl.com/, only generate web addresses first time, after you access like http://tinyurl.com/7edasda
you can see direct to be show in address bar.
    Hix…

Still sounds dodgy but I’ll take your word for it.

1. So i want to know, what’s modules or components, plugin…can hide or encrypt direct link…?

.htaccess can be set to rewrite all urls to a set url. In other words regardless of what page the user is on they would just see http://www.yourdomain.com in the address bar. As for hiding the address of links do a google search for “mask link url”

2. How to force the user must login to read more detail…if not, they only see the intro text…
Well this is a basic feature in Joomla where when you publish a page you set it to registered view only. Make your home page public and then link to your private pages. Unregistered visitors will be warned they must register to view.

If you plan on running this on your new server from your home you will almost certainly attract the attention of your ISP and it will almost certainly be against their Terms & Conditions.

Oh, you need to create dynamic URLS.

The only place I know that does that, is dynamicurls.com, but I’m not sure if it’d work with Joomla, you’d have to find out.

    It generates links like this;

    http://yourdomain.com/directory/EiwZjTD2pkc8vqidBgqHMRbIfTSIDvUX6344anLKYko%3D

    Thanks Scotty and Spmedia !

    2. How to force the user must login to read more detail…if not, they only see the intro text…

i mean, before you log-in member to see full information…you can and only see intro text….

Even if another link (TinyURL, for example) points to your link, can’t people then copy that link and still download from your site? Sure, they are not entering the “hidden” link directly, but the TinyURL or other link still results in downloading the file. Or am I missing something?

Nope, you got it in one, hence the later suggestion of dynamic urls, and scotty’s htaccess rewrite. 🙂
