    How do I get the nice colored header area to show under the menu and have a title overlay on top of it like your demo?

    Your demo (it says “Our Blog” in the area I am referring to):
    http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#joomla…om/ja_minisite

    The site I am working on:
    http://thread5.com/mcs1/index.php/admissions

    Help appreciated!!

    Question . .. When you uploaded and installed your template, did you utilize the quickstart installation process –
    installing sample data as well ?? Which version of JA Minisite are you using – J13.5 or J1.7?

    I ask because the “Blog” feature is powered by K2 and, as of this moment, K2 is not yet compatible with J1.7 – which (if you are using the J1.7 version) is why that particular section would not have been included with the quickstart/sample data install.

    Nevertheless, I found the relative CSS for you . . . (this assumes you’re using the J1.7 version)

    With your text editor (or whatever you use to edit your css), open template.css.

    Find the following code . . .

    #ja-topbanner {
    background: url("/ja_minisite/templates/ja_minisite/images/bgd_topbanner.gif") repeat-y scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
    height: 120px;

    }

    #ja-topbanner .main {
    background: url("/ja_minisite/templates/ja_minisite/images/bgd_shadow.png") no-repeat scroll 100% 0 #186FB2;
    height: 120px;

    }

    #ja-topbanner div.ja-moduletable {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;

    }

    #ja-topbanner h3 {
    color: #1D8BDF;
    font-family: 'BebasNeueRegular',Arial,sans-serif;
    font-size: 600%;
    font-weight: 100;
    line-height: 100%;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 48px 10px 0 0;
    text-align: right;

    }

    This is the CSS that controls the color overlay for that section.

    It would be helpful to know whether or not you utilized the quickstart+sample data installation when you installed your site. Otherwise, this will be a “recreate the wheel” process . . . not particularly difficult, but “recreate” nevertheless.

    Oh, sorry, maybe I wasn’t very clear.

    What I’m trying to get is the large title area. On this page (click on “Our Blog” tab on the main menu) on your demo site the large title says “OUR BLOG” in the area directly underneath the search bar.

    I’d like to learn how to do that.

    I did not use the quickstart installation.

    Thanks!

    I’d be happy to assist … but will have to wait until tomorrow (for me, anyway).
    Late here and need to get some rest.

    This kind of thing is exactly why the quickstart + sample data installation process is so valuable – so you can get pretty much exatly what you see in the demo without having to go through the steps to recreate it. (I never install a site any other way – as it is much easier to disable or delete an item/element I don’t want than it is to create/recreate it from scratch).

    Nevertheless, will get back to you soon.

    Hi
    For site building w/o using quickstart ( most prefer ) , we could use quickstart installed in localhost as ref site.
    And we can check / compare w/ our site building for which configs / data should be use .:)
    I’m sorry at moment our demo server look like down i can’t check it for you 🙂
    Please let’s me know if you still haev trouble.
    Thank you
