Hi, I’m working with the Ja event II template and I see that it has shortcodes but I do not know how I can use these shortcodes from the content editor. I guess I should install some plugin like Ja typo but I can not find it in the joomla extension club. that I have to do?

All new template have their own typography and does not use the older typo plugin.
You can find them Here: http://ja-events-ii.demo.joomlart.com/index.php/en/shortcodes
Copy the source code button from the article editor source code if you have quickstart package.
