Hi pranavpatil19,
I can’t give any view based on years of experience and in-depth knowledge of either websites, os, joomla or what the latest attacks out there are. Less than 4 months working with Joomla counts for little in the real world.
As a beginner in this field I’m surprised that you left out what is, to me, probably the most important aspect of keeping Joomla safe after taking regular backups with Akeeba. In reality Akeeba is about keeping your website safe (or the hard work you have invested) rather than keeping Joomla safe.
So, namely ensuring that your Joomla is consistently up to date. We are already at 2.5.3 after 2.5.0 was launched only back on January 24th 2012. That’s 3 security releases in 2 months.
I would have thought this has to be the de-facto starting point for any discussion about Joomla security.
My 2 rappen worth!
