    Hi,

I have a lot of articles on website (Joomla 2.5).
I host website on shared server but it is good one.

I would like to improve speed of website loading. How can I do it, can you share some insights?

In template manager I have options and here is what is selected:
    Optimize CSS
    Linked files (selected)
    Join and Minify
    Join and Minify and Compress

    Optimize JS
    Join (selected)
    Join and Minify
    Join and Minify and Compress

    Optimize Folder
t3-assets (this value is in text box)

How to use zipping of css and js files and is it possible on shared server? I know Rockettheme has RokZip, is there some similar component from Joomlart?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Hello,

By optimising JS and CSS in T3 you are only helping with the serving of the template files.
There are many things to consider to help speed up your site, such as the number of modules being displayed, size of images being rendered, the about of database queries, these are just some examples.

There are many online tools to run speed tests and analyse page loads that will help give advise.

Do you cache on, or GZIP, you may find them helping too.

Also consider looking at the main Joomla forums, unless you do suspect the template is slowing load times, personally it loads pretty well.
