Hi There!
Great work on Olyra.
I’m having a hard time installing for Joomla 1.5. Are there some tips on how to do this correclty.
Thanks,
BAugust 7, 2007 at 3:05 am #226519I was able to get the template to install using legacy mode. But I can’t seem to get anything to show in Spotlight and Highlight. I’ve tried publishing to user1-6 but nothing seems to show up there.
Seems to me the db needs to be told about the new positions, but I can’t find how to do that in J1.5.

I think the solution is here, probably need to add the new positions to xml file that goes with the template:http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,195561.msg941670.html#msg941670
I haven’t tried it yet, so let me know if this works.

Hi again,In the template I’m using, JA Olyra, there isn’t any positions mentioned in the files templateDetails.xml or index.php, but I can find it in the Rhuk Milkyway – template…
Isn’t it possible with this template or do you change the positions in some other file?
August 16, 2007 at 4:29 pm #227218I finally got this template working with Highlight and Spotlight showing.
1) Add this to your templateDetails.xml
<positions>
<position>left</position>
<position>right</position>
<position>user1</position>
<position>user2</position>
<position>user3</position>
<position>user4</position>
<position>user5</position>
<position>user6</position>
<position>user7</position>
</positions>2) Publish something into User 1,2,5 for Highlight, Publish User 6 for Spotlight
That seems to have done it for me.

Hi again, just want to ask where in the templateDetails.xml I should put this?August 17, 2007 at 7:01 am #227277I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter, just somewhere in the middle, don’t break any other tags.
Take a look ath templateDetails.xml that came with J1.5 default package and see how it was done there.
