Friends don’t let friends use IE 6

Seriously, not all sites can be revised to allow for IE 6 without breaking the site for later versions. Generally it’s not worth the time, and that time could be extensive and expesnive.

IE 6 is still in use at many corporations because of legacy applications.

Your best bet is to look through the Joomla Extensions Directory and look for an extension that warns people that the site is not IE 6 compatible.

Your site can’t be all things to all people.

Why would u use IE6 anyways. Its like asking Ferrari to use WW engine to show off its speed and handling.

Just tell those users who have it to upgrade from time to time to new technology, which most do by daily updates and afterall upgrade is free so no excuse to use 2000 year browser in 2011.
