Hi,
I have a list of footer texts links in my site and I want to link an article with footer texts link. However, when I try to create the link, a new window pops up and requires to input external/custom link. My question is – how can I find the URL of the saved article? Alternatively, how can I link the footer texts directly to the article?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Chavan,
Thanks for the reply. My question was – How can I create link to an article (internal link) with your attached footer texts. Another words – if I click on any specific footer texts it should take me to a set article.

April 28, 2011 at 12:40 pm #388825The JCE editor has a nice dropdown in the link box that generates the links for you.
Or if you are using the default TinyMCE editor then give this plugin a go – http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/content-links/4010?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo3OiJ0aW55bWNlIjt9
I have not used it in a while but I think it generates exactly the links you want without all the fuss of looking up IDs

April 28, 2011 at 12:56 pm #388829Phill – I hope the extension would be tough to workout.
For ex: {linkr:bookmarks;size:button;text:nn;separator:+;pre:Post+to+your+Facebook+page;badges:13}
Like this what you should link the Article

April 28, 2011 at 1:19 pm #388832Are you having trouble with it? I have just tried it and it works well. User the super installer and it adds a button in the editor. Just a few clicks and it creates the link for you.
I’ve just tried the JCE link extension too and that really is good. There used to be a plugin that added the same button to TinyMCE but I cannot find it anymore.
I prefer to use the method you give though simply because that is how I have always done it. I am sure many have websites where “Authors” submit content and I think those guys would struggle the most. For those a simple button is great and should have gone into the core fron J1.0 onwards.
