I do I change the footer social button links. Currently it is linking back to Joomlart.

you can simply edit the link from module editor .
first go to system /global configuration / default editor – set it to none .
now open the module – source code
add our facebook ,Twitter id on the place of joomlart links.For more info just follow the user guide of magz

Thanks. At first, I was confused because your original instructions were:
