Hi, I am using JA Cloris for a website and I am trying to link in one of the page modules to an article without a menu-item but it doesn’t work like it usually does. Can anyone provide me with a solution on how to fix this?

    Hi,

Can you please provide your site admin details at http://support.joomlart.com/index.php?/Tickets/Ticket/View/75610and which article link you want to use in which module, so that I will try it on your site..

    Hi,

I could login to the site backend but could view the frontend as after clicking the Login button, it kept reloading the same login page instead of your site.. And since the access is not superadmin, I couldnt make the site online and view it.. Can you please provide super admin access via PM?

    Hi,

If you observe in your template manager > your template > Page assignments, you see that the home page is using a home profile and other pages are using the default profile. The home profile settings are such that the Main content area wont be displayed and Default profile is set to display the main content area, where your article content gets loaded.

Now when you dont create a menuitem for an article or its parent category, an itemid is not assigned to the article and when you try to view the article using http://www.cafedestoep.nl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78 , it uses the default itemid of the home page. That is your article gets loaded with all the modules published on the home page. But in current case, since the home page is not set to show the Main Content Area, you can only see the homepage links..

If you now go to extensions > Template manager > Ja Cloris > Profiles tab and click on Home profile, you will see a param ‘hide Main Content..’, set it to NO, save the profile and check the above article link in browser. At the end of all the content, you will see the content from this particular article.

since in Ja Cloris we use pages instead of normal menuitems it is not advisable to use a single profile for all the pages. Because if you use a single profile say Default to all pages including home, you will have to scroll down till Contact form and after that you will see the content you want. This is not the general case, that is why in this template you will need to create menu items for single article / category etc. as per your requirement.

I hope this is clear enough to know why you need to create menu items for articles in Ja Cloris..
