    Hi,

    I’m french, sorry for my bad english. I Hope is understandable.

    I want to change a layout to have a all height left position. An image is more explicit :

    I try (a lot) layout codes, but without any success.

    At the end, I make this layout code, but it is not fully functional :confused: :

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <layout name="acac7a">
    <!--Extra css load for this layout-->
    <stylesheets>
    </stylesheets>
    <blocks name="top" style="xhtml">
    <block name="top-panel" type="modules" style="raw" main-inner="1">top</block>
    <block name="cpanel" type="usertools/cpanel"></block>
    </blocks>
    <blocks name="middle" colwidth="20">
    <block name="header" type="header" main-inner="1"></block>
    <block name="inset1" style="jaxhtml">left</block>
    <block name="mainnav" type="mainnav" main-inner="1"></block>
    <block name="portfolio" type="modules" style="raw">portfolio</block>
    <block name="topsl" type="spotlight" style="raw" main-inner="1">user1,user2,user3</block>
    <block name="content-mass-top" style="raw">content-mass-top</block>
    <block name="right1" style="jaxhtml">right</block>
    <block name="botsl" type="spotlight" style="raw" main-inner="1">user4,user5,user6</block>
    <block name="navhelper" type="navhelper" main-inner="1"></block>
    </blocks>
    <blocks name="bottom" style="xhtml">
    <block name="footer" type="footer" main-inner="1"></block>
    </blocks>
    </layout>

    Question : Should I change the php code of the template or is it possible only in the layout code ?

    Thank you, in advance, for your help.

    Im afraid theres no easy way to achieve this, even if you try to edit css. The only way is to use js to change the height value of the left when page is fully rendered.

    Thank you, I’ll try that later.

    At this time, it’s just an idea (I just draw the template in photoshop), I just make some test with a blank template.
    If the customer chooses this one, I think I’ll be working some long time to find a solution and I return my experience in this case.

    Many thanks.
