Hi, I would like to change order of categories presented via JA News Pro Module. As default it is by categoy ID (I’m using K2 by the way). Is it possible to make it appearing in particular order? I got 3 sections related more to science and 3 closer to art, I want to keep 3 science categories above these related to art. Can you let me know how to do some trick in code?

    Thank you in advance!

    HI there,

Currently, this module supports order by article only, you need some heavy customization in code of this module to achieve of what you need.

    Hi, thank you for reply

I dont want to change order in category, I want to change order of categories. i’ve got 7 categories and they are presented in following order – category id 25, below category id 26, than again up 27… etc.

i would like to change it for example first category 32, than, 26, 28, 27… etc.

    any chances to make it?

    Hi again,

Did you try to change the ordering in Backend > Content > Category Manager?

Yes, I did try. But it is changing order in viewing category list, but not in module. It is taking ID of category… I’m sure there have to be somewhere in code of that module info about order and can be changed for manual order of categories ID. I hope you know what I mean.

    Hi corticalcolumn,

If you want to customize this module, kindly go to: modulesmod_janewspro and change with your own customization.

I would like to recommend you to get your project done via http://www.joomlancers.com, another network of JoomlArt for further help.

nice adv 🙂 you know, my magazine is small non-profit activity, we don’t have budget to employ some free lancers. before joomlart team was more open for helping in customization. anyway, as i understand i will not get help on this. thank you for your time.
