    Hi,

i want to use the intro images (joomla 2.5) in category blog. What works fine. But the normal user would click on the image to open the article – like the user clicks the read more button. an example you could see here:

    http://abt.pressmar.de/index.php/projekte/hochbau/umbauten

I posted this already in a forum, where the said that i shoud override the index.php. (http://www.joomlaportal.de/joomla-2-5-joomla-1-7-templates-und-design/270920-joomla-2-5-einleitungsbild-als-link-2.html). But I don’t find the div class definition, or the right possibilitly to use the template override.

An other page (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9615015/joomla-intro-image-as-read-more-link) has the same problem, but a different solution. Could anyone give me the correct way for the JA Tiris.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Oliver,

I tend to leave all the php files alone so try to find easier ways to achieve things. A really simple way to achieve what you are trying to do is to simply link the image with the article. I use JCE and once you have saved the article, you can set the picture with the link. Just add the link reference. In the article itself the image with retain a pointer on hover but it will only refresh the page if clicked.

Here is the html from doing so..

    <p class=”images-border”><a href=”index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=97:pellentesque-ipsum-eu-in-curabitur-consectetuer&catid=83:tiris-category”><img class=”img-border” src=”images/stories/demo/sam-6.jpg” alt=”Sample image” border=”0″ /></a></p>

Could be the easy way to do it?

    Bestens

    Hallo Swissa,

Better to use English on the board so that if others have the problem they can read it too! 😉

If you are looking for the template overrides to try the other solutions, I suggest you make copies of the files first (well a full backup of the site is best of course), I think that they are located @ templates/ja_tiris/html/com_content/……..

If nothing else works for you, you know how you can make it work using JCE. Ultimately it is all part of training the user well!! 🙂

    Viel Glück!

If you do find the solution would you please post it here for others? Merci!
