I have some 300px wide banners to put in right sidebar position, so it needs to be wider. How best to alter the template?

Hi

You can edit this file /templates/ja_teline_v/tpls/blocks/mainbody-magazine.php and change the values for md-column

around line 12 you can change

$mainwidth = $hasSidebar ? ' col-md-9' : '';

TO :

$mainwidth = $hasSidebar ? ' col-md-8' : '';

and around line 40 you can change

<div class="col t3-sidebar t3-sidebar-right col-md-3 <?php $this->_c($sidebar) ?>">

TO :

<div class="col t3-sidebar t3-sidebar-right col-md-4 <?php $this->_c($sidebar) ?>">

Hi @pavit,

I haven’t tried your suggestion yet because I have a problem that I can’t resolve. I’ve seen it before long ago but I simply don’t remember the fix. See the new Elections 2016 menu (main menu) allocated to Magazine style as are the others in main-menu. I seem to have lost left & right page margins. Any ideas?

Hi

It should be due to your Magazine – Featured News : style-1 JA Acm module and settings for Number of Link Items if number is set to 0 then it enlarge the whole page removing margins

@pavit, The Featured News Style 1 seems to be setup the same as Congo-B’s module. Link items set to 9 in the module and 10 in the menu item. The page goes wide below the Featured News ? Seems related to the 2nd module.

Perhaps I should not use these modules and just set the menu to use Articles > Category Blog as it’s only temporary?

Without an access to your website i cannot look at your configuration for them so everything i say could be incorrect , if you can share a temp super user account for the backend would be better

Check now it is working

If categories are empty ( no articles ) then space cannot be correctly set ( it has stylized to work when articles are in their places )

Hi @pavit,

I’ve not yet tried the mods for right sidebar width. Adding the 2nd module to Election 2016 menu item on the Teline V site still loses the right and left margins so I have left it unpublished.

Am struggling with JA Nuevo site at the moment (what a fiendish template structure:-) but I’ll start a new thread on that one.
