    Hi,

I am using Slideshow Lite to showcase screenshots of software. All images are 1600 x 860. The back-end settings for width and height are set to “auto”.

On mobile (landscape mode) and tablets, the entire image is shown. On wide screen displays the bottom part of the image is cut off. I have tested this on 3 different wide screen monitors (17″, 21″, and 23″).

I like the idea of the image taking up the entire width of the screen. How can the bottom part of the screen be re-sized automatically so that the entire image is shown at any screen resolution?

To see the problem go to:

    Hi Saguaros,

I found a great responsive slideshow that really does resizing on the fly – http://www.joomlack.fr/en/joomla-extensions/slideshow-ck – and it has a backend as nice as Kylie Minogue’s!

Trouble is that I can’t seem to get it to work with Lens so see if you can!! Or if one of the devs/mods could point out how to solve it? JQuery problem? :p

    Hi swissa,

I tried the slideshow you mentioned without any success. I think that JA Slideshow Lite has special coding that lets it display full-width (which is what I want). So I am stuck with it even though it has problems trying to display the correct height of an image.

    Hi Swissa,

You might want to try this responsive imageshow extension from JoomlaShine (http://www.joomlashine.com/joomla-extensions/jsn-imageshow-details.html).

It can be displayed full screen. For an example with JA Lens go to: http://www.petdietdesigner.net/software and click the full screen icon near the bottom of the image container. They have a free version which you can try out.

Caveat: If you try this you have to disable JA Lazyload while you create your imageshow in the admin section. After you have created your imageshow you can enable the JA Lazyload again.
