July 30, 2007 at 8:30 pm #121716Hi.
I am trying to make “Spotlight Module” work in Joomla v. 1.5, but no grey pop-up appers when mouse over the module.
Anyone know hows to make it work in Joomla v. 1.5?

July 31, 2007 at 3:09 pm #225798Joomla 1.5 is still in development and still in beta. So no support for this until it is a stable release.

July 31, 2007 at 7:10 pm #225821Well… Joomla has released a new version: Joomla 1.5 RC.
This means that 1.5 is now a Stable version, and not a Beta2 version anymore.
And its new codename is Mapya. And also has Joomla made a upgrade of the “old” Joomla, from v.1.0.12 to v.1.0.13

July 31, 2007 at 8:11 pm #225833Joomlart does not support 1.5 until it’s official release. 1.5 RC1 is not an official stable release, and is in fact a beta version. The RC stands for release candidate, and although considered stable enough to use, it may still have bugs. Joomla may in fact release an RC2 and so on until it is stable enough for production. Joomla 1.0.13 is the latest stable release.

http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/frs</blockquote>This is not the stable version yet. But it is so close you would think that it is already here. And I know a template club that is already offering 1.5 version templates but here at JA they will not support it until the final stable version is released. Joomla released version 1.0.13 within the last couple of weeks but they wouldn’t have done this if 1.5 was stable. It would make sense to start discussing 1.5 here but JA isn’t willing to do that yet. I personally haven’t done much more than read about 1.5 so unless someone else is willing to try and help you here….

October 31, 2007 at 11:53 am #231878Hi,
Did you get it working as I have not. Install OK but only the images will show. No text sliding up. Any thougths on how to solve this would be great. Is it a problem with Moo tools?
Many thanks
Bob
November 4, 2007 at 6:44 pm #232182wendy4, it definitely WILL NOT work on 1.5RC3.
i’m going to install 1.0.13 and try my site again. hopefully that will work out! hope this helps others not waste time trying (as i did).

December 29, 2007 at 5:07 pm #235407There is an updated spotlight module for Joomla 1.5 RC4 now posted in the JA Drimia folder, along with an updated JA Newsflash module. I have installed both and they seem to work well with Rochea, though their are some minor differences (spacing, setup).
