I have been asked to build a Joomla site to match an existing non-joomla site. The template needs to be 1033 pixels wide. However, the T3 template appears to have a limit of 980px fixed width.

Is it possible to adjust to have 1033? I have tried entering 1033 in Global settings, but doesn’t work.

    Help appreciated ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

I believe I found the answer, and will post in case someone else is looking for same…

I manually entered a width of 1033px into the “.main” class of the following css file – www/plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-thems/default/css/layout.css.

I assume this provides the underlying CSS structure of the page. It worked!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

You don’t need hack core files, just add/modify the width in your .css file. I recommend you modify the width of every block as particular, this way you can mantain your theme more flexible with others screen resolutions. Also you can use css3 media queries.

Anyway, hope this helps for next time.
