    Hi,

Please let me know where I can modify the code of the module box.
    For example, on this page:
    http://www.district279.org/test-only

I have an image rotator module in the top box, and I want to modify the width to be no lager than 666px, so I can add another module box to the right (in position sl1-3).

    Thank you.

    Hi Emily:

Are you able to provide a link to your actual site – so we can review the actual issue you’re experiencing?

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for the fast reply.
The link I provide you is our “actual public site”: http://www.district279.org/test-only
What I’m trying to do is re-design the homepage and rearrange some module positions.
Once I figure out the codes to modify then I’ll apply it to our homepage: http://www.district279.org/

Is that what you are asking for?

Is that image rotator module a 3rd Party extension?

Yes, only because I couldn’t find one from Joomlart that works for this template.
I’ll be grateful, if you can recommend any rotator module from Joomlart that I can use for JaNex template.

    Thank you!

It’s just that I’m having a difficult time identifying/inspecting the relative CSS for that element so as to offer a suggestion for modifying/organizing your CSS size/positioning – as you indicate in your initial posting.

I am going to request some additional assistance from my Support Team colleagues on this one . . . hang tight. 😎

    Hi @osseo

You can try to manage your actual sl-x positions and reduce them to 2 sl1-1 and sl1-2 position, in this way you can better manage position width, actually your code for the default layout is

    <block name="topsl1" type="spotlight" special="left" specialwidth="50" main-inner="1" >sl1-1,sl1-2,sl1-3</block>

Take a look HERE how to change width .

    <blockquote>Custom width

    Expression: <block name=”top-spotlight” type=”spotlight” special=”left” specialwidth=”25″>user1,user2,user3,user4,user5</block>
Purpose: – this will override the default 20% width for a single position within the layout, it could be the one in the right side, it could be the one in the left side, but let’s examine these parameters closer:

special=”left” – this defines where is the module we want to use the custom width: left or right
specialwidth=”25″ – this defines the new width value for this module within the spotlight block.</blockquote>

    Hi TomC and pavit,

Sorry but the code above didn’t work for me.
When I adjusted the CSS code it mess up the sl1-1 and sl1-3 format and now I have a fixed width for “sl1-3” and overlap with the image module in sl1-1 and not sure how to fix that.

I’m trying to replace the “ja feature news stories” module with the image slider module shown on this demo page:
    http://www.district279.org/test-only

I’m trying to combine both sl1-1 and sl1-2 boxes into one big area with the image slider module and list of news article links below. Can I add a list of news articles right below the image slider module? Perhaps add in a custom html module box?

Please see my screenshot attached as an example of what I’m trying to accomplish on the homepage.

    Thanks for your help.
    Emily
