How do i change Default joomla frontpage displays (like blog layout etc) and making it look like one that of JA-Mesolite.

What i actually like is to place the Spotlight in the frontpage’s main content area….. the sizes should be bigge with 4 columns 2 each vertically and horizontally so that i can display the latest news from different Section/Category .

Please do help

Dear,

You can do that by using the module in mesolite and put into the appropriate position in frontpage or change directly component com_content in frontpage showing.

Hi Yokell,

In fact you can not put JA News Pro in Main content section, because it is a module, and no module can be displayed in main content position. The only way to work around this is to disable Main content section in template admin (admin > template manager > profile, choose current profile > Hide Main content block, switch to Yes), then assign JA News Pro to be in content-top or content-mass-top position. For 2 rows 2 cols, you can set in its config.

Hi hungnd,

If you hide the content then you wont be able to see it never. But if you add a new module position then you will see always the content.
Please, I need to add a new module position, I need to add a left3 in my layout, please check this LINK and let me know what you think.

You will need to add more module positions around main area then assign your modules to there. No way to include module in main area of Content component!
