I have just upgrade from the JA University JAT3 template to the JA University T3 template and need to make some changes to the layout.

    I need to move blocks around, reduce the width of ‘sidebar-1’ and make the main component content column wider. I also need to increase the width.

    The attached screenshot of the template explains what exactly I need to do.

    I tried to follow the instructions of the video but couldn’t customise it to display the JA Featured News and JA News Pro to be displayed instead of the Joomla Main component body.

    why do you want to display it there ? can you please post a screenshot how you want your site to look alike

    I want the sidebar-1 module displayed on the left and sidebar-2 displayed on the right of the JA Featured News and JA News Pro modules. That’s why I tried to create a module position ‘news’ and substitute the module position ‘content’ with it. The reason is that I want – for consistency and user friendliness reasons – the sidebars to be displayed always at the same spot., next to the main content, which on the news page is the content of the JA Feature News and the JA New Pro modules. I do NOT want the Joomla Blog content to be displayed underneath the two news modules either.

    This page makes it pretty obvious why.

    The page would look much better – and more consistent with the other pages of the site – if the JA Featured News and JA News Pro module in the ‘otherinfo’ position on top of the Joomla Content Blog View would have the sidebar-1 and sidebar-2 modules on their sides too.

    What is more, the page would look better if the Joomla Content Blog View below the JA Featured New and JA New Pro module would not be displayed, exactly the way it was not displayed in the Teline and the Pyro templates. Back then, there was a button in the template layout settings where you could select to have the application main content shown or not.

    The two pages using the ‘home.php’ template profile file (http://therebel.org/en/news and the http://therebel.org/de/news) look perfect now. Phantastic. Thank you. I’m so happy that this is fixed now.

    I’ve copied the classes for the content, sidebar-1 and sidebar-2 columns from the ‘home.php’ layout to the ‘two-sidebar.php’ layout and rearranged the columns. Now both profiles have the two sidebars on the right side. It looks great. I’m super happy.
<div id=”t3-content” class=”t3-content col-xs-12 col-md-7 “>

    <div class=”t3-sidebar t3-sidebar-1 col-xs-6 col-md-2 <?php $this->_c($vars[‘sidebar1’]) ?>”>

    <div class=”t3-sidebar t3-sidebar-2 col-xs-6 col-md-3 <?php $this->_c($vars[‘sidebar2’]) ?>”>
