Hi, I am having trouble with the Home “Featured” content article on the home page here: http://lotoazulhotel.com/jatc_droid_j25/
If you click the “Read more” link at the end of the article, (“Vacaciones en Valle de Bravo: Loto Azul Hotel”, bottom, left side of the page), the link tries to publish the rest of the article Right on the Home Page. I do not want that.

I want the “Read more” link to re-direct to the rest of the article page, like it happens on the version 1.5 of the same website here: http://lotoazulhotel.com, (same article, bottom, left side of the page) if you click the “Read more” at the bottom of the article content, it re-directs the reader to a different, corresponding page, Does Not try to publish the rest of the content on the home page. How can I make that happen, exactly the same, on the J!2.5 version of the site?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

This happens when that article isn’t assigned to any menu item. You can create a new menu item (or use existing one) and assign that article (or category which article belongs to) to this menu item. Also ensure that you don’t assign any module to this menu item. Once done, when you click readmore, it shall redirect to full view of that article.

Please try this and let me know if this problem still persists.

Hi, Thank you for your help.
I checked, and the item is assigned to the “Home” menu. I checked changing the menu item to a “single article” instead of a “Featured article” just for testing purposes and the result is that I am taken to a different page, but with a 404 error. I checked to see that the page and menu item were correctly assigned, they were, I now have the menu item back to link to the item from the “Featured” items category, as it was set initially. The article I have published on the front page is the Only “Featured” item I have published.

What do you suggest I might be missing?

    Hi again,

Maybe you assigned modules to this Home menu item, pls try this way:

    – Create a new menu item with type of single article

    – Assign that article to this menu item

    – Clean all JAT3 cache.

and try to open it again, if the problem still perists, PM me an admin account, I shall check it for you.

    Regards.

    Hi Saguaro,
I did as you suggested using first the home menu item, where I am linking the item I want, which is a Featured item, and di not work. i tried to create a different, regular menu item, found under services, (menu item title: “Vacaciones en Valle de Bravo”, http://lotoazulhotel.com/jatc_droid_j25/index.php/servicios/vacaciones-en-valle-de-bravo) and I got an error 500 page.

I will PM you an admin login now.
    Many thanks,
