    Hi there,

This sounds like a great idea. I managed to find a cool plugin here: Cool Plugin[/url]

You may need to do some extra configurations, but seems well worth the trouble. Your news station, will also have to provide an RSS feed. If they don’t have them set one up!

My question then is the above 1st ….

1 Is there a module which i can place on the frontpage or site which will display the news nicely ie ( automatically setup.
    2. Is the page you marked down a link to a module ( as i cant find it ) if so how do i install in on my site.
    3. Am i able to stream news from here http://www.feedzilla.com/latest-news/world-news/europe-malta.html
    4. Can i add pictures automatically to the news articles.

Thankyou — you will recieve thanks..!! much appreciated all who contribute to this thread….

I installed it on my website and it works like a charm. There’s even an option to show on Frontpage.

The link I posted above was to the JoomlaCode project. You should familiarize yourself with that website if you’re wanting to be a serious Joomla developer. You’ll notice on the left column is a list of links. One of them says “Files”… Please read everything and do what it says. It’s NOT rocket science, but will appear to be gibberish if you don’t take the time to read and try to understand.

One thing, though, I noticed. After you install the component, you need to gather the url for your newspaper’s rss feed and enter it in the box while creating a New feed. then once that is set you need to check the checkbox next to it and click the Import button. You will receive confirmation once the feeds have been successfully imprted to your content section/category. You will, however need to publish them. Then you can add your own images. Not sure how to add images automatically, but if you can think of it, it’s probably been done. Try a Google search for “Joomla RSS feed images”???

Good luck. PM me if you have any more trouble.

Ok i feed the rss feeds through a module called slickrss into two module positons in the template. the result was i had two colums next to each other (because the two module positons were already in that position ) and both feed me outside news.

Issues i am having now is how do i display the pictures next to the text.

Can i better organise the contents of the modules ie the feeds themselves into a more newlike look.

And most important seems to be can i change the rss feeds colour and look.
