Hello,

I am new in the Club and my “testsite” is http://remeeus.eu/joomla/

I’m learning every day and find the JA Teline II an excellent template with great features! 🙂

My question is: how can I put an article (text) into the JA News Frontpage, JA News 1.3.1 and Spotlight Module Content with image?

I tried everything and also tried to find the answer on the forum but cannot find it. Sorry; I’m a beginner…

Hi Hans,
I will assume you have a 1.5.X instalation of joomla (when posting a question it always helps to say which version you are using)

Go to your admin backend and selct CONTENT> Article Manager, find your article you want on the front page spotlight module. – hint: use the ‘select section’ ‘select category’ drop down filters to narrow your search.

When you find your article click on the title, now check some parameters make sure it is ‘Published’, and selected to be on the ‘Front Page’ – Then look at the created date, and start publishing date, make sure they are at least ‘Today’ – NOW APPLY those changes.

Preview your site in a new window, if that article doesnt appear in the spotlight module ; do the following:
1. save the changes to the article
2. Go to CONTENT > front page manager make sure your article you want in the spotlight is the first one on the list.

if it doesnt appear after reodering try this:

Go to HELP – System info – and select the configuration tab, make sour the offset is correct for your regions time.

See if those settings work for you.

Hello Artmyth,

I followed your instructions, but I still don’t see the frontpage article.

Very strange is this:

I see the frontpage article when I use the JA_Purity template,
but I don not see the frontpage article when I use the JA_Teline-II template… :confused:

I don’t understand this.
