    Hi!

Could someone tell me if there is a way to remove the sl1-2 module and make the right column to 300 px, and then stretch the sl1-1 to fill the space?

    thank you!

    Hi

    1. Please go to Extensions > Template manager > JA nex > Layouts tab and edit the Default layout.
    2. Find code <block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” special=”left” specialwidth=”50″ main-inner=”1″ >sl1-1,sl1-2,sl1-3</block> Since you can not specify width of a position in pixels, assuming you are using template width near to 900px, you want to have the right side position, that is sl1-3 to be 1/3rd of the template width.
    3. So replace above code with the following and see if that achieves what you want.
    4. <block name=”topsl1″ type=”spotlight” special=”right” specialwidth=”33″ main-inner=”1″ >sl1-1,sl1-2,sl1-3</block>

    5. Note that after publishing some module in sl1-3, whatever space remains on left of it will be occupied by modules published in sl1-1 and / or sl1-2.

thanks for the quick reply. It makes sense and I will try it as soon as I can figure out my other issue – I can’t save anything in template manager.

I think this issue occurs due to wrong file permissions.. Please try to find a solution for the same on JA forums, as I remember there were couple of discussions on the same issue.. Also check http://blog.ryantan.net/2010/08/joomla-template-parameter-file-is-not-writable/

Hope that will help to solve this issue.

okay I have started importing articles from my 1.5 site.

now here is my problem – the image does not resize (feature). there is a white space next to it

    check http://www.expeditionportal.com/1.7

how do I make the picture larger?

    thank you!

    Hi,

It seems to me that the module with FEATURED tag in it has set to show images having width 490px, while available area for the module is more.. Can you try changing image size from module params and see if that works?

Also I request you to start a new discussion for every new issue and tell me if the previous issue is fixed so that I can mark this thread solved..
