May 17, 2011 at 1:22 pm #164101Hello,
on my web site I have (at the bottom of the front page, home page), the “Welcome to the front page” text.
It is from the menu “Home” (Articles ยป Featured Articles)
Parameters are the same as the demo version, but on the demo it does not appear.
See the screenshot.I want to remove the entire band.
What can I do that. I din’t find where is this option…
Thanks in advance.

May 17, 2011 at 1:29 pm #391631Go to The Administrator ->Menus -> Main Menu -> home
in the home Menu edit page you will have to select the Parameters (System) Tab to the right Column
set Show Page Title to “No ”

May 17, 2011 at 1:34 pm #391633Menu > Main Menu -> Home – on the right side find tab System (Parameters) change the text, or set “Show title on Front Page” to NO.

May 17, 2011 at 3:10 pm #391648Thanks for this explanation, but I know this.
If I check “No” in “Show Page Heading” (in menu/main menu/home/Page Display Options), the text (Browser Page Title) disappears, but the entire band is still appears > see screenshot.
An idea of this problem ? (I’m working with Joomla 1.6)

May 17, 2011 at 8:22 pm #391685It seems you started from a clean template install, as I did by the way.
Try adding any content (article) assigned to the homepage menu item or just marked out as “featured” and check the band; it should be looking OK.
As regards the site name at the bottom – it does appear on demo too (“JA Teline IV J16” text on black background).
If you’d like to remove it, open teline_ivblocksfooter.php and comment in the line
<a href=”index.php” title=”<?php echo $siteName; ?>”><span><?php echo $siteName; ?></span></a>dieudonne Frienddieudonne

May 19, 2011 at 7:42 pm #392007Is it the J1.5 or the J1.6 version you are using?
I do not see that on the demo install so it will be hard to suggest anything without a link and admin logon.
