This is css styling from /modules/mod_jaslideshow/assets/themes/tiris/style.css

.mask-bottom { background: url(bg-mask.png) repeat-x 0 100%; bottom: 0; height: 300px; left: 0; position: absolute; width: 100%; z-index: 1;}

You can change or remove bg-mask.png or comment out the whole of this css block if you want to.
