this may sound weird,
I am wondering how to remove the top menu (header?) (#1 in the picture) and footer (#2 in the picture)?

For this, you need to open and edit
/templates/ja_uvite/index.php

to remove header:
remove everything from <!– BEGIN: HEADER –> to <!– END: HEADER –>

to remove navigation/menu bar
remove everything from <!– BEGIN: MAIN NAVIGATION –>
to <!– END: MAIN NAVIGATION –>

to remove the bottom modules you can
1) just unpublish them from your module manager or
2) remove everything from <!– BEGIN: BOTTOM SPOTLIGHT–>
to <!– END: BOTTOM SPOTLIGHT 2–>

I was going to suggest remarking out the area rather than delete, that way it’s easy to get it back. Or of course make a backup of the original file.
