I have loaded the Cooper quickstart and now have most of the site format in place. How do I remove all of the sample articles so they don’t clutter up the control panel windows? Do I just archive them. How do I get them back if needed?

    Thanks,

    Frank

    Hi Frank

Go into the ‘Article Manager’ and click the check box of any articles you want to remove. Then click ‘Trash’ on the top right.

This doesn’t actually delete the article permanently (although it will remove it from the list), it will go into the Article Trash. At any time you can go via the ‘Content -> Article Trash’ menu and get a list of all articles you’ve removed.

If you happen to want one back, click the check box by the number, and then click ‘restore’ on the top right and it will be placed back in the active list of articles (although unpublished).

If at any time you are absolutely 100% sure you no longer need them, then you can use ‘Content -> Article Trash’ menu again, click the checkbox by the number and then click ‘Delete’ top right. However this time, they will be well and truly deleted with no way of bringing them back!

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Chris. That was exactly what I was looking for! Now I won’t have to wade thru 3 pages of files to get to the handful that I’m actually interested in.
