    I have a transparent logo file i want to use and have modified it. And I am trying to only show it on screen much smaller though. So it doesnt dominate the webpage. Still want to retain the resolution.

    logo_inpreci_white.png is the file name.

    Questions?

    How do I modify the css to show it to the size I want?
    Is the logo file not created right for this to happen. If so how do I create the logo png file?

    Also have another question on how to change the logo file for different color themes. We are using JA Business template.
    Hopefully you can tell us how to use diff color themes for different pages of our website. We are currently only using red theme.

    So, if I am understanding you correctly, you want to create a logo with a transparent background – as well as have it sized/fit well within your header area – correct?

    Creating an image with a transparent background is very simple.
    – Open your image creating software
    – Open a new image and then add your logo image as a layer
    – Remove the background from your logo image (e.g. in Photoshop, you could/would use the “magic wand” tool for this)
    – Disable the “background” Layer
    – Save the image as a .PNG

    That’s basically it.

    Here are some additional resources you can review for additional assistance . . .

    What are the size dimensions of your logo?

    596 x 184 is my logo file. This has already been created for me by someone else. I dont want to show it at the size on the webpage though. How do I resize it using css (i take it) on my website without touching the image file itself.

    Is the only way to do this is to resize the logo image file using software externally and use the image file as is?

    Tom could you also tell me how to use different color themes for my different pages on the website ? Is there a tutorial anywhere ?

    Unless you want to increase the size of your header section, then you really can’t. You need to reduce the size dimensions of the image itself . . . which isn’t all that difficult either. In Photoshop, you can simply reduce the image size by percentage – or custom manipulate it as you wish.

    Tom

    We have resized the logo file outside. It still wont work. The template.css reads like this.

    h1.logo a {
    background: url(../images/logo_inpreci1.png) no-repeat left;
    display: block;
    height: 79px;
    margin: 10px 0 15px;
    width: 219px;

    219×79 is the size of the logo. And it doesnt show up as expected. What are we doing wrong here.
    I have also ince enabled multie color schemes for different pages. So will need to do this on other locations as well. Can you point me to the same.

    This is urgent. Thank you.
    Can provide you ftp details if you want to make the changes quickly.

    Hi Koradma
    You can not resize when set is background. You can only when use img html tag.
    In this case: i think that you should resize image by software( tool ) from local before upload your server site

    Can you provide temporary access to your site administration – there are a few settings I want to check out.
    Also, what is your logo supposed to be/look like?
