I have created a usergroup that corresponds to the people that will be posting news in the website. I want them to have access to some modules in Ja Teline IV but I don’t want them to have access to all the modules, because they don’t have the knowledge to manage them. I just want them to have access to the modules they are going to use.

    Is this possible?

I have looked around the web and people talks about modules with ACP support so you can give access of modules with this feature to a certain usergroup which is what I would like to do but looks like you can’t do that with the modules I am interested in or at least I don’t know how to do it. Sorry if I am asking something too obvious I am just starting with joomla. Thanks

The modules I would like to apply this to are:

    JA News Featured
-So they manage which news outstand from the other in first place.
Featured News (of each category that exists)
-To control what news are displayed when you hover your mouse on top of a parent category.

Basicly the idea is very simple. I want them to have control around the elements that involve the publishing of articles and their managing throughout the site about important elements that should be taken into account, featured news… I think it is important. is hard to believe everyone that control this modules really have administrator access. Can somebody clear all this mess for mi please. I don’t see any options about permissions on these modules. Thanks again.

    Hi Inakimat ,

That feature is not available within this JA News Featured module, I think that you need a developer for done these featured, can hire a good developer from Joomlancers

Can’t I get what I want installing this extensions?
I have been searching around and the following products claim to work like I want but they don’t explain in their description if they can add permission support to any third party plugin or if these should support it itself.
I am talking about modules with ACL support, I misspelt it before (APL xD)
Here the links to the products:
    MijoACL
    ACL Manager

The bad thing is this products are commercial.
