    I am using ja_ores template for joomla 1.7. I uploaded it manually along with the jaslideshow module then enabled it.
    I also created a new category named slideshow and created three new articles for it by copying and pasting the same articles found on my local install of the ja_ores quickstart for joomla 1.7.

    I tried to edit the html code for the links “Take the tour” and “buy now” but it failed. So how do I set those links to make it work?

    another thing, where do i set the highlight color of the active slide/description? it appears like a shade of maroon; i want it to be gray or light blue.

    thanks for whatever help.

    thanks for replying and i do hope you’ve checked around and would share what you may have found.
    but i’m sorry that i cannot give you access to my site’s backend soon coz i’m kinda paranoid.
    i guess i just have to switch to another template given that there is also an issue with it jomsocial’s menu/tabs that displays misaligned. or find an alternative to ja_slideshow which didn’t work good for me out of the box. :((
    thanks again.

    This is an issue whereby a link within the slideshow module to another menu link is not possible. Even the hover link is correct, upon click it only links to the listed article page.

    Is is possible to link to a menu item outside of the slideshow?:((

    Here is the code that is produced. The underlying article is “residential”, so the link to /residential works fine. However, the link to menu item /showcase also renders /residential. Why is this?
    :((
    <div class=”btlink clearfix”>
    <a class=”C” title=”Showcase” href=”/showcase”>Showcase</a>
    <span>or</span>
    <a class=”C” title=”Residential” href=”/residential”>Read More</a>
    </div>

    The entire code block produced is:

    <div class=”maskDesc” style=”display: block; position: absolute; width: 660px; height: 350px; opacity: 1; left: 1px;”>
    <div class=”inner”> </div>
    <div class=”ja-slide-desc”>
    <a href=”/residential” target=”_parent”>
    <p>Some text.</p>
    <div class=”btlink clearfix”>
    <a class=”C” title=”Showcase” href=”/showcase”>Showcase</a>
    <span>or</span>
    <a class=”C” title=”Residential” href=”/residential”>Read More</a>
    </div>
    </div>
