Welcome tfisac,
By the way, under your name, it says you are unlicensed. I assume this is incorrect because only licensed members could access the Teline II Forum.
To go back to your question:
It would help people to help you if you provide some basic information.
For example, have you already installed a Joomla-Teline II
If so, what is the version of the Joomla?
How did you install it?
Did you use the Joomla-Teline II QuickStart kit?If you did get it installed, did you get a page like the Teline II Demo page?
Do you know how to use FTP, and how to access your Administrator (back end) of your site?
Do you have some background with how to use simple html?
There are more questions of course, but your answer to the above would be critical before others may be able to make any sensible suggestion to your question.

(2) I installed the template using the install panel in “Extensions” in the administrator panel.
(3) No.
(5) and (6) Yes, no problem !Thanks,

Can you show the link to your site?

In Joomla 1.5x, if you go to the article edit:
administrator => content => Article Manager
************************
Option 1: if creating a new article, click NewOption 2: if editing an existing article (use the Select Section, Select Category and Select Author) => see just to the right of the Article manager page
Click the desired article************************
Both will lead to an “Article Edit” page
Write your text, and save. Or better, write your text in a “text file” (not rich text programs like Microsoft Word, or similar programs)
Copy article, and save (to ensure you have saved your text)
Repeat the process above to access the article you just saved. Go to its Edit article
********************
At the bottom of the Edit Article form, you will see three icons:Add image => to add image in the article
Page break => used when article is very long, and you can have multiple page by using page break.
Read more => I and a lot of customers discussed this elsewhere in a number of posts

July 15, 2008 at 7:30 pm #259983Following the general introduction above:
Images storage in your site
First, you must know how to upload images in your website. This is a very long tutorial itself, so I assume you can do this already. Generally, the default directory is
/images/stories/ (images here stored and classified in their own directories)
see next post below
Inserting imageOnce you already have a text in the Edit Article form (see above), let us take the case where you want to page the image at the top left:
- Position your cursor so that it is at the top most before the text
- As indicated in the previous post, now go down to the bottom to find the “insert image” icon
- A pop up menu will appear with a scroll drop down menu:
- Click to select an image
- You should see the image inserted in the position where you want it.
- You may insert several images, if you want.
- To ensure that the image is properLY set up, click html
A bar must be showing the position of the insertion at the top left
Click the “insert image” icon
Scroll that until you get to the correct directory where you stored your image, once you selected, the various images will appear
Below that, you also have to fill up
=> image description
=> image title
=> click caption
and use the drop down scroll to choose position (left, right)
then go to the top, and click insert
<img class="caption" src="images/stories/demo/style/s-9.jpg" border="0" alt="How to place an image" title="How to place an image" align="left" />
it is very important that the class=”caption” be included to have the proper spacing, and the full image is coded similar to the example above. An image that you want to appear on the right side must have an align=”right”That’s it.

July 15, 2008 at 7:59 pm #259985Thank you Cornelio! But just a little detail, in the step 4:
Click to select an image
Below that, you also have to fill up
=> image description
=> image titleYou must check the “Caption” option in order to have a nice legend under the image.

July 15, 2008 at 8:10 pm #259986Editing images
Images are meant to catch attention or provide a mood. Proper editing of the image coming from your digital camera can make a significant difference.
This may involve some retouching of the light and dark (avoid too much artificial effects), just so it is more dramatic. Sometimes cropping to emphasize what you want the viewer to see would be another way of making your image interesting.
It is best if this editing is done on the larger size image, perhaps pared down to 1000px size (or larger), as master copy that you keep in your archive. This master copy will be used to prepare the screen optimized image used for your site.
Optimizing images
Always remember this: A single small image is equivalent to the full text of 3-10 articles – depending on the size and whether the image was screen optimized.
Do not add any image unless it contributes to the story. It will just slow you site.
Current digital cameras, especially high end, can lead to images from 1-4Mb or even higher.
Do not attempt to load this because not only will they use too much space, they would slow down the presentation of your page, especially if you have so many images showing in one page.
You must know how you want the image sizes would be in several places. As part of the:
- headline article in the JA FrontPage module
- feature article in the JA FrontPage module
- lead article in the JA News module
- lead article in the Section intro page
- lead article in the Category intro page
- Hot topic article
- main image in the article itself
you do not want to have different images for them. In fact, Joomla was configured so that you may use the one (same) image that will be useful fo all the aforementioned potential positions. If it is too small, then if you want to show a larger image in your full article, it will not look nice.
Thus, you have to decide an optimal size, that will be about 10-30 kb (max). You may obviously consider having separate sizes for those used in larger slide shows.
There are programs that can pare down your images to the optimal size. And, there are photogallery programs that can be used to do mass screen image optimization.

Hi jbgorg,
That is true partly, but as we found out, it can be used mainly to create the spacing around the image. If the image title is left empty, there will be no caption.
This was one of the issues most commonly encountered in Joomla 1.5x, check
Spacing around an image or lack thereof — a common problem that requires a solution
