Hi,

I have done searches on google but no luck. May I know how to show recent products on virtuemart home page?

Show in this page:

I remember that I just need to change in a column somewhere around virtuemart component, right?

I believe that “Latest Products” is one of the core modules that come with the VirtueMart component download. If you do not have the module within your JA-Mesolite template already, I’ve attached it for you below. Install it and assign it to an appropriate position in the middle.

To be honest, I haven’t used this particular module, nor have I used the Mesolite template – so I am not certain what kind of styling you might have to do to get the layout/display you want. However, on the Mesolite demo, there is a “featured products” position on the front page – so I would think that you can assign “Latest Products” to that position just as “Featured Products” is/was.

Thanks for your help, tcraw1010, but that’s not what I want.

In the shopIndex.tpl.php, there is recent product

<div class=”vmRecent”>

<?php echo $recent_products; ?>

</div>

But, even I have ticked “Show recent products” in virtuemart, the virtuemart page still doesn’t show the recent product:

What is the problem?

It is not latest product and it is not module, I want something like this:

go to this website – http://demoda.com.my, click on Product, this page will come up:

I need when people click on Virtuemart front page, products will show up

and make sure that Number of recent products to Display? has value more than “0”

other note is : recently product only shows Recently Viewed Products, so you still need view some products it still shows.

I go to Virtuemart – Admin – Configuration – Site – Click “Configuration” under ja-mesolite – set “0” at “Number of recent products to Display?”

yes, I have done that but the products still not appear.

I checked “Show the latest products on the frontpage?” but there is no products show up….

Normally, in previous projects, when I checked “Show the latest products on the frontpage?”, it appear, what happen to this template? (not module, but the page)

I always received support ticket about this:

Hi sfpkent,
i checked your site and detected the problem,the recent product is not module, it is block is called in virtuemart component and Home page you linked to single article not link to virtuemart component, so on Home page the recent product can’t display. this is reason why recent product can’t display in home page. If you want it showed in home page you must set for home page link to virtuemart component.
