July 27, 2013 at 5:55 pm #189288I am wondering how to show the article writer not the joomla user.
In this template we see the article is edited “By Superadmin” for example(this is a Joomla user). However, I am wondering how to show the name of the person who wrote the content not the person who entered it in the website…
Thanking you in advance.

July 30, 2013 at 2:26 am #500526Hi aratype,
A Joomla article should be created by a Joomla user, why don’t you create a new user account for that person ? and then when creating a new article, you can assign his name as creator of this article instead of ‘By Super Admin’.

July 30, 2013 at 12:39 pm #500606Thanks Saguaros,
Imagine that I am a magazine editor… When I have thousands of writers what I have to do? I will not create an account for every writer…
I wanted to figure out how to mention the name of the article’s writer without adding him to the site users’ committee (who are redactors, admins, etc)
Thanking you in advance.

July 30, 2013 at 3:22 pm #500623Actually, I think it’ll be hard to achieve, did you try to post a thread in Joomla Forum also?

August 2, 2013 at 7:54 am #501043In article manager, click options. Under editing layout, show publishing options — mine was set to yes, but still wasn’t displaying. I changed it to no, saved, then changed it back to yes and saved again, and my publishing options magically appeared.
